UK ENTRY | ENTRY DOCUMENTS

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO GAIN ENTRY TO THE UK

If you are intending to study in the UK, you will need to obtain a student visa from the Embassy or British High Commission in your country.

European Economic Area (EEA)
EEA nationals need only their passport and a letter from the college offering them a place on the course.

Commonwealth Countries
Visas are required for the citizens of a number of Commonwealth countries. Other Commonwealth citizens may need a visa or entry certificate, as well as a letter from the college.

International students Check List

•  Contact your local British Embassy to enquire about the process for your Student Visa and to obtain a student Visa Form. You can also visit the official web site www.britainonline.gov.uk, www.ukvisas.gov.uk for further information on Student Visa entry requirements.

•  On receipt of your course Offer/Immigration/Receipt letter from Pathway First Language College you are now ready to apply for your Student Visa from your local Embassy.

•  Information on your course content and examination is provided in the course leaflet sent with your college letters. These will help you to answer questions about our courses at your interview.

Other Countries
Visas are required for some other nationals. Contact the British High Commission or Embassy in your country for information.

To apply for a Visa or Entry Certificate or letter of consent, you will need the following:

•  A letter from the college confirming that you have been accepted on a full-time course and accommodation in the UK.
•  A Current Passport
•  To pay a 20% deposit
•  Evidence of a recent medical examination.
•  Evidence of your ability to support yourself financially (e.g. bank statements).
(If you are being sponsored you will need a copy of the letter offering you the award).

What To Take With You To Your Immigration Interview:

  1. A current passport, two photographs with your name on the back.
  2. Evidence in the form of monthly bank statements/wage slips (showing a regular income), from you or your sponsor.
  3. A letter from your Sponsor stating that they will help with your living expenses and paying your tuition fee.
  4. A letter from a friend/relative or the college that will be offering you accommodation while you are living in the UK.
  5. After your Student Visa interview contact the International Office to inform us of the decision of the British Embassy.
